Ewww, talk about loss of cool points.

I saw a Sgt-at-Arms go down at a Navy Change of Command up at Great Lakes a few years ago, he basically just melted to the floor.
(Although is he still a "Sgt at Arms" in the Navy? That's what the called him.)

The heck with the "cool points". Poor guy probably has a concussion from that face plant.
From the position of his body I would say he was "out" before he hit the ground.
We had a cadet do that once. The result was a broken nose and his two front teeth knocked out. (They were successfully reimplemented.)

Probably "chief of the guard".

That's it!

We use an "eye in the sky" and TACs behind the flights to watch for anyone starting the "sway".

We lost a cadet at the 99th Anniversary Ball in '08. Face first into the tile. Major reconstructive surgery. Its a real dent in your evening's program when a troop has to be attended to by EMTs and then transported. I felt really sorry for the kid.

In my 27 years in a military uniform, that was the *worst* one I'd ever seen. And I've had cadets faceplant on drill hall floors, the polished concrete variety.

We also have a rate called Master at Arms, which is our naval police.

That's rating, not rate, in the context you used.

Oh come on Dave, be nice to the Ensign. We can make him do "Stupid Ensign Tricks" later!

As a long time Sea Cadet, he should know better. No slack. At least I didn't call him a Full Fleet En-Swine.

Double loss of cool points for the haircut (or lack thereof).

I *should* know better! Sometimes I think living in the JO Jungle is having a negative impact on my thinking skills...

Very Respectfully,

No one's commented on the fact that he seems to have a purse in the first pic! :)
